Vacation: Friends, Cinnamon Rolls, Pizza and a Movie

Day 18.
CHS Class of 2001 ten year class reunion. Pictures? Nada, (I'm and idiot and didn't take any!) We had about 50% show up for the reunion, but when you graduating class was only 16, 50% isn't all that impressive! Corrie and Christie did a wonderful job. They were there with their kids. Matt showed up with his lovely wife and their children. Kayla and Raelynn where their with their babies. Lane showed up fashionably late with his girlfriend, and then their was me. It was great catching up with everyone, although we missed the others terribly. I think we would have had a good turn out if it weren't for family reunions, newborn babies, and people moving half way across the country.
After the reunion we went and spent some time with Grandma Burnside. It was relaxing. She didn't have a lot of work for me to do, so I sat and watched her make delicious cinnamon rolls. Every now and then I coaxed a smile out of her. I love my grandma so much. She loves life and knows what is important in life. She is so much fun and can really get you laughing.
I remember once when I was little we lived next door to Grandma and Grandpa. I would go over all the time to have strawberries with cream and sugar. Mmmm! One time I went over to talk with her and out of no where she pops her false teeth out. Which wouldn't be so scary if I knew she had false teeth!
By the way, Grandma asked Aunt Bellva and I to keep an eye on the rolls while she got ready to go. We kept a close eye on the cinnamon rolls, because we knew we would regret letting them burn. Well, we pulled them out right as they were getting golden. They were perfect! Grandma came out from the back room and said, "I am so hungry, I just want a biscuit!" Aunt Bellva and I looked at one another, we completely forgot to pull Grandma's biscuits out! They were a little overcooked to say the least, but the cinnamon rolls were amazing!

We were able to convince my dad to go to pizza and a movie with us, too! Unfortunately, we treated us to pizza and then had to get back to the farm, but it was good to visit with him.

I am so glad Grandma wanted to come with us. It gave us some extra time together. (She said she hasn't been to a movie in 20 years! I hope she enjoyed herself.)

The kids had a blast watching Cars 2 together. It was so cute to listen to them all giggle.
