Vacation: Burnside Reunion Part II

Saturday was filled with kids games! They fished for prizes, had an egg toss, and a water balloon fight. They also did a ring toss wear Gracie won a liter of pop on the first throw. Coda was very grateful for his small can of orange soda he won, it disappeared quickly.

The pinada was fun for the first two girls. Gracie was second in line, and broke it off the string on the first swing (they used a big metal bat). Then the third girl broke it open on the ground so Coda didn't even get to swing, but I think he enjoyed the candy.

The rest of the day was filled with raffle drawing, bingo, volleyball, pie toss and a skeet shoot. Grandma Burnside held her own in the skeet shoot. It was great to see her youthful side, I could just imagine her as a young wife out bird hunting with her hubby.

I forgot to mention the slingshot. Mom gave Coda a slingshot which he broke in a matter of minutes, but my child who can't let any milk lid or box go to waste without using it for something, quickly found another stick for his slingshot. His Uncle Randy quickly took all the bark of and carved Coda's name in the handle. That slingshot never left his hands or his pocket. It stayed with him the whole time. I'll need to get pictures of it on here. Coda things Uncle Randy is the greatest not only because of the slingshot, but because "he's in the army". Coda loves that he has an uncle in the army.
