An incident with Poison!

Last week Justin came home from work. There were little blister like things all over his arms. After a couple of days, they didn't really seem to be getting worse, so we thought his little episode was over. Well, were we ever wrong!? A few nights ago Justin came home after working almost 28 hours straight. His arms were covered in blister like sores and rashes! He went to the doctor and sure enough...Poison Ivy! They gave him a steroid shot and some wash that is suppose to be helping. He hasn't slept in the same bed with me for 3 nights! He won't even touch me because he is scared it will spread. I feel so sorry for him, but seriously...it's really bad. So, if anyone has any other ideas on how to get rid of the itch of poison ivy, please let me know!

P.S. If anyone has picked up the book "Thanks for the Memories" take it back! It's "R" rated! I have never read so many cuss words in my life! I opted to read "On Fortune's Wheel" by Cynthia Voigt....a book I have read before and I know is safe!

There are a couple of things that I have heard. Take baking soda and mix with water to make a paste and coat the affected area. Or you can just have him put soda in a bath and soak in it. It is suppose to eliminate the itching and pull out anything in the skin.

I would use calamine lotion. Also, beware of the steroids. They really do help, but they also lower your immune system. I had an allergic reaction and was on steroids for a week and picked up a cold or two!!! (I probably just wouldn't go to church or stores.)

Sorry, I have no cures for poison ivy, but my little vampire lover I do have something else for you. Go to stephaniemyer.com (i think that is what it is)and you can read her next book. It is the same story just Edward's version. The only bad thing is that it is not complete. Hope everything else is going good for you.
