A Sense of Accomplishment

Well, I knew that my addiction would drive me to finish New Moon. So, before I even started I called the library and had them put me on the waiting list for eclipse. Although, one day isn't enough time to float to the top of the list. We had some books and movies for the kids that needed to be returned. When I was checking out I noticed that Eclipse was sitting on the shelf behind the counter...just calling my name! I asked the gentleman who was scanning our books if I could be so lucky and my name would be on the list. He brought the book over and said it was for someone else. Then he asked, "how fast are you going to read it?" HA! He must have seen my reaction on my face before I even said the words.
HE LET ME HAVE IT!
So, I began reading, again. But this time I wasn't such a wife or a mother, but a crazy vampire lover! (my house went to pot, and I am pretty sure my children and husband probably felt a hunger pain or two.)
After reading Eclipse so quickly I had to get my hands on the last one. I knew I wouldn't have much luck at the library, so I gave in. I just went to Wal-Mart and bought it.
My Thoughts:
Twilight - I think definitely my favorite. In love with death!?
New Moon - Ranked number three. At this point I new Edward would come back, but I thought he would hand Bella over to Jake. I just wanted to put a shock collar on him! But, still loved it!
Eclipse - Also, one of my favorites! (Actually, it is all kind of a blur. I don't really remember when one book ended and another started.)
Breaking Dawn - What the .....you know what?!? This is where I started to doubt my addiction. The middle of the book got really weird for me. Bella with some mysterious thing growing....blah. I really didn't care to much for that part. And then all of a sudden things were happy and... it became one of my favorites!
Can I have four favorites!?
In all seriousness, I never thought Bella would go vamp. Although I couldn't see how the writer could continue making four books about a vampire saving a human from vampires, over and over again. And I was especially happy that Jake had found his love too!
Ahh, I am so sad it is over!
...
So what did I gain in the last week?
-A Sense of Accomplishment
-A new love for vampires!
-A new sense of guilt (Justin told me a could read the B of M 3-4 times over)
-Two Books and a desire to own all four - (Don't worry they were a gift to myself. The other day I got 2 Aussie Shampoos, 2 Aussie Conditioners, 2 Speed Stick Deodorants and 4 Snickers bars, all for $1.67! I thought I owed it to myself to reward myself!)
-But most of all...a new love for reading! (And those who know me well, know I hate reading!)
...
After reading all the books I am a little disappointed about the Twilight movie. They cut so much out. I definitely enjoyed the book better. It strange to think how they will do Breaking Dawn. My imagination, with Bella in labor, was bad enough. I am not sure I want to see that part on the big screen.
...
Well, fellow vampire friends! Thanks for being so supportive and keeping it all a secret.
...
Not sure if anyone is interested. But I am going to read "Thanks for the Memories" by Cecelia Ahern. I tried to get my hands on "P.S. I love you" (because I love the movie, the book has to be good, right?) But I couldn't track it down. I think some of you should go to the library and get the book. We could read it together. (Never been one for a book club, but we don't have to call it that!)
Let me know!
Love you all!

You are so funny Echo! I totally agree with your reviews. Look at you going all 'sci-fi', Scott will be so proud. Haha. But in all seriousness...I am glad you let the house go to pot. You needed so well deserved Echo time. And a 'book club'? I would love to join. Thanks for the talk the other morning. You must have known I needed it. You're the best. Love ya!

Definitely put Fablehaven on your list of must reads by Brandon Mull. They are also a favorite of mine. The author is also LDS; the are on a 6th grade reading level, so they are a quick and easy read, but definitely a lot of excitement and magic . . .

Lov eyour reviews! I almost put the 4th book down, but didn't want to waste all my time of reading the other 3. I hated the movie, so i wouldn't even watch it with nate. He actually went and rented it in Richfield. I told him to read the book instead.
