Two weeks ago Coda starred in the 1st Grade Turkey Program. He even got a speaking part! Daddy said Coda did really well, but I had to miss it.
A few days before the Turkey Program, we were having a fun game of family dodge ball on the trampoline. Well, Daddy accidentally bounced Gracie to high and she hyper extended her elbow. We thought it best to be safe rather than sorry so we waited three hours in the emergency room for xrays. They came back negative, and Gracie would just be sore for a few days. They sent us home with an ice back, some pain medicine and a blue sling. Yes, the sling is pink in the picture. That is because Gracie refused to wear a blue sling, so I spent a morning recovering the sling in pink with butterflies. A day or so after it happened, we went to Best Buy to pick up our new computer. It was only a minute after Gracie said, "Mom, I think I am going to throw up." That the think turned to know. Poor Best Buy associate, we really tried to make it all the way to the bathroom. To say the least, Gracie and I were both too sick to go see Coda's school program, but thankfully Daddy took some pictures and a few videos for us to watch.
Since victim number one, we have played another game of family dodge ball. Where the trampoline almost claimed its second victim, when Coda did some sort of unintentional cartwheel thing off the trampoline. Will we ever learn?
