Back in October we had some wonderful visitors. Kevin and Ann made a quick, but special trip to Texas. While they were here, we hit the Texas State Fair...ON OPENING DAY! Crazy, right? Not too crazy. The weather was perfect and because we donated water we got in for only $5 (compared to $15)!
They had this great little farm where the kids planted seeds, harvested, and then took their profit to buy something at the store (candy). They loved it!
Gracie, of course, loved feeding the animals. She even got to touch a real zebra!
By afternoon we were warming up, so the kids found a fountain to cool off.
Here the kids are with Big Tex himself.
Now, if this doesn't say fair, I don't know what does. Gracie with a foam John Deere hat, a cheap duck that cost us at least $7, push up ice cream in one hand and a corn dog in the other!
Grandma and Grandpa spoiled the kids with an expensive ride. Coda tried really hard to do a front flip, but couldn't quite flip all the way over.
Gracie was just scared.
But they loved this one!
Look, even Ann came home with something she loved!
Thank you so much for visiting us. Next time you have to stay longer, this trip was way to short!
