Wee Willie Winkie

Tonight was Coda's school program, Getting Down With Momma Goose. It was so stinking cute! The kindergarteners rocked out to nursery rhymes. Coda was a little bit shy, but he did awesome!

After days of indecision, he finally decided last night that he wanted to be Wee Willie Winkie. I said, "who?" I had to do some googling, but I found out who it was.

Wee Willie Winkie runs through the town,
Upstairs and downstairs in his nightgown,
Rapping on the window, peeping through the lock,
Are the children all in bed? For now it's eight o'clock!

So basically I had today to make his costume. No worries! First thing I did was run to Walmart in search of some pajamas with feet (yeah in Texas?) So then I went for the pants with button up shirt, nope, nada. Well, hmm. Good thing my mother in-law got me an awesome sewing machine for Christmas two years ago! I found a pattern for pj tops and bottoms. With some alterations, an old sheet and some studying, I did it all for $2.99! (I even did the button holes!) Some gold spray paint, cardboard and a candle we had laying around finished off the candle holder and clock! MOVE OVER MARTHA STEWART!
