We talked a lot about the pioneers and their journey and sacrifice west. Of course, we talked a lot about the Martin and Willie handcart companies that were stranded in WY. They left for their trek too late in the year, and winter came on. Brigham Young organized a rescue party to save those that were stranded. Any member of the rescue party could have refused and said that the pioneers of the Martin and Willie company made their own choice in departing too late, but they didn't.

Why? Because it didn't matter.

People bring a lot of misery upon themselves.

But,
"It doesn't matter."

No matter the choices that brought you to the suffering,
everyone is entitled to be rescued.

The Lord loves us unconditionally and I think He forgives us unconditionally.

Rescue those that need rescued,
no matter their choices.
