At 3 a.m. Christmas morning, I heard little footsteps shuffle quickly across the wood floor. It took me a moment to realize what was happening. I called out Coda's name just before he was about to wake Gracie up. He was so anxious to open presents, but Justin convinced him it was too early. Surprisingly, we all slept until about 7:00.
Most of the other Christmas mornings, we rip right into the presents, but this year was different. We took it slow and savored each present!
I wasn't too shocked to see that Santa thought Gracie and Coda were good enough throughout the year to bring them what they asked for. A Lego Chima Castle and a Pink DS. Both of them were so excited!
They had a good time trying out the Pogo sticks, ah who am I kidding...Justin and I had a good time trying out the pogo sticks too!
The kids had a blast with they're toys. Among the favorites were Gracie's Furby, which can be sometimes crude and creepy, but hilarious. Coda loved his circuit set. He was able to make all kinds of loud, obnoxious noises that turned on with the wave of his hand then it would shoot a fan in the air. It was pretty awesome! I loved when they decided to get their spy gear on with their Nerf guns and walkie-talkies....at one point they were rapping into the walkie-talkie from opposite sides of the house.
We painted nails, built legos, played Polly Pockets played multiple (by multiple I mean like 4 games a night for a week) games of Sorry, a new family favorite, watched movies and played basketball.
Our Christmas was slow pace and relaxing and we enjoyed every minute of it!
