Awesome October Vacation: Part 1

In October, we decided to take a vacation. We started out in St. George to see Grandma and Grandpa Egan's new vacation home. It was absolutely beautiful! The kids of course enjoyed the swimming pool. They wasted no time in getting in as soon as we got there. They had such a blast and loved playing with Grandpa Egan in the pool.

The kids really enjoyed playing with their cousins and it didn't take them long do muster up the courage to jump off the top of the rock slide, which I'm pretty sure wasn't meant to be a jumping rock. The kids, despite it only being in the 60's loved swimming at night. I however, froze!

Grandma and I attempted to do some shopping, but with an eight year old boy you just couldn't seem to leave his six year old sister alone, it was rough. But Coda was excited when Grandpa Egan invited him to go shopping with him and I thought it was great for them to spend some time together.

I always look forward to going to the Egan's because of the food and this vacation was nothing short of delicious! With Grandma Egan's hard work and Grandpa Egan's mad grilling skills we had some amazing kabobs....lots of them...but that didn't stop us from devouring them! The Egan clan finished all but two!

We also went to the lake near the house. The water was freezing, but the jet ski was so much fun!

It was great seeing the family. Brock and Kodi and their family, Drue and Randy and their girls, Mom and Dad and Grandma Burnside made it a wonderful week!

I do need to mention about "The Bet". We were all packed up ready to go to Vegas. We were saying our good-byes when Coda decides to climb the rock and pretends to jump in. I told him to get down so that we could go and what do you know....Grandma Egan decides to bet him $20 to jump in. Coda hesitated, but only long enough for me to turn my back. Then he jumped in, clothes and all! We had to go dig out suit cases out and get him some new clothes, but the kid made away with $20, the stinker!
