More From Our Idaho Vacation

The great thing about going back to Idaho is July is that not only did we get to go to the Burnside Reunion, but the Karlson's as well. Unfortunately, what little pictures we took at Cherry Hill's didn't turn out. But it we had a great time. The kids loved being in the water all day and I loved that they were old enough we could all go on the same rides together. Gracie even went on Cardiac Canyon! She didn't care too much for it the first time, because she fell through her tube, but she was brave and did it a second and third time with us. Coda could have easily left his family behind and not minded. He enjoyed having a little freedom and playing with the big kids.

The kids look forward to the much anticipated "gun range with grandpa" day. Coda loves getting his hands on the guns (under close supervision, I hope). And had his world rocked a few times by the kick.

Gracie finds the empty shell casings, pink of course, and fills them with dirt.
 Throws them like bombs.
Then stands all dirty, cute and adorable.

While in Idaho, we were able to go to the sand dunes, which is easily becoming my kids' new favorite vacation spot. Coda and Gracie had a blast pretending to be in a real desert, rolling, and burying themselves in the sand. Justin had a good time watching me cry and scream as Brock took me up a huge dune. It just so happened I was screaming on the way down, just as Brock hit a small sand drift. My mouth was full of sand after that and I quickly learned to cover my mouth with my shirt while screaming.

Grandma Mennear took us to Lava Hot Springs. Coda decided it was time he became a little man and did all the slides by himself. He loved every minute of it!

When Grandpa Egan came last October, he promised Gracie that he would take her for a horse ride. Gracie is absolutely in love with horses, we couldn't bring her back to Texas until she was able to hope on one. Grandpa Egan let her name this one Rainbow Star.
