Grandma Egan's Visit

We were so thrilled when Grandma Egan said she wanted to come visit us. The kids and I talk for a long time about what we wanted to do when she got here. They're top pick was a place called Shenaniganz. We decided to start with bowling. It was so fun, but best of all we only had to pay for shoes! The kids did really good. I was also impressed with Grandma Egan's skills. And I am always more than impressed to see my husband in bowling shoes, mainly because he can't beat me be he is so handsome while he tries.

I told Justin that we are so blessed to have such wonderful parents, especially mothers, who will always get down on the floor with their grandchildren and play. Grandma Egan did just that. Gracie loved having someone to play Barbie's with. Grandma has a great imagination! Coda enjoyed having Grandma present as he built his large Star Wars ship. He was very proud, to say the least. I loved watching my young mom jump on the trampoline with my kids. What wonderful memories she made with my kids while she was here.

Another request from the kiddo's was that we see the new Avengers movie. Justin and I were pretty excited about that, too, so we didn't hesitate. When we got there for a matinee, they were all sold out. It was only a few buck more to see a 3D showing. We loved it!

My one request was that my mother and I spend an entire day together shopping. I've never really enjoyed shopping, but I knew that was the one thing my kids and my husband would bow out of, leaving my mother all to myself! Even though all we did was walk a very large outlet mall and I came away with only a $6 t-shirt, I loved every minute of it! The rest of our week was spent at Kohl's, poolside, Joe's Crab Shack and at the baseball field.

Thank you mom, for being the fun-loving, selfless, energetic, easy going, compassionate person you are and for making the sacrifice to come see us. We love you!
