Today on our way out the door to go to school, Coda told me that another little boy called him "gross" at school. Oh, I was angry. I started grilling Coda. Who said it? Why did he say it? What were you doing when he said it? Of course, all innocent answers. Tray. I don't know. Doing my school work.
Okay. Coda is six. LOTS OF THINGS HE DOES IS GROSS! But, they are no more gross than any other six year old!
So, after I got pass remembering how mean kids can be, I decided to teach a little. I told Coda that even though the words may hurt us, we need to remember who and what really matters. "your mom and dad, and Heavenly Father love you and that's all that matters!"
I really wanted to add "next time he says that punch him in the nose!" but I refrained.
I love you Coda and you will never be gross to me!
