Friday night was so relaxing. I've never been to a MLB game before so it was a definitely a different experience. We casually showed up late along with a couple other thousand fans. No biggy, it's baseball!
Hmmm...Section 323 Row 23 Seats 24 and 25. Up one escalator. Up two escalators. And we are at the seat entrance, round the corner and up we go. And up. And up. Well I didn't expect the best at $10 a pop, but really, I think we had the best seats in the house (for $10). We were right behind home plate a couple thousand feet up on the very top, last row to be exact. We sat right at the top of the stairs with a chain link fence behind us, BUT when the temperature was close to 100 degrees, we were in the shade with the more breeze than anyone in the park!
As far as the game went, we had a delicious hot dog, spicy nachos and a very salty pretzel. Nothing like ballpark food. We saw two awesome home runs, but only caught part of the double play, because of other fans finding their seats! If they we smart they'd get those awesome seats in Row 23 at the chain link fence right at the stairs! We skipped out early to beat the traffic, (our kids were with friends so we felt bad being too late.) Besides, the Rangers were killing the Mets!
All in all, a wonderful date! And something we'd definitely do again!
GO RANGERS!
