Today is the second snow day this week. Yes, Texas has snow days a.k.a. lots of ice/really cold weather days. The first day I was very much excited. Gracie gets so bored with Mom, so it would be great to have Coda home to play with her. That is until Coda woke up with a fever the first snow day. Gracie also has been fighting a runny nose, but is still the same active little girl. We survived our first snow day with movies, popcorn and board games (no Wii or iPods). The kids were very said that their daddy worked all day and into the evening and wasn't able to see them, but they both crashed when their heads hit the pillow.
Today, I was hoping the kids would feel better, but no such luck. Another day inside. Coda hasn't moved from the couch except for the thirty minute nap he took on my bed. He hasn't eaten anything except one cookie, which he so sweetly asked me to make him. This snow day has been very long and boring. I finished my book yesterday morning and was itching to get to the library, but once we were all ready to go, Coda looked at me with puffy, sunken in eyes and said he didn't want to go. I couldn't very well drag a feverish kid to the library, so we unbundled ourselves and have been parked in front of PBS Kids ever since.
I'd give anything for two healthy kids and a book!
