Mom: "So where did you get the cool bracelet?"
Coda: "Giovanni"
Mom: "So how com did you get a bracelet?"
Coda: (As he throws his sweatshirt over his shoulder) "Because I'm on the football team."
Mom: "The football team? How come I didn't know you were on the football team?"
Coda: (As he walking out of the room) "Because I thought you would be mad at me."
Coda: (As he walks back into the room and slips off his shoes) "For real, Mom, I'm on the football team."
Mom: "Well, how did you decide who's team you were going to be on?"
Coda: "We signed up." (Duh, Mom.)
Mom: "You signed up?"
Coda: "Yeah, at recess are the games. And I have to be at the park by the lake for practice. If I don't go to practice then I am off."
(I am just loving this!)
Mom: "Well, when is practice?"
Coda: "I don't know."
Mom: "Well, I can't take you to practice if you don't know when it is. Go to school on Monday and tell them, 'hey, I need to know when and where!'"
Coda: "Well the other guys on the other team are not good. And I can't really catch the ball so good. But Luke is really good. He can catch the ball and run really fast."
What really makes this all the more comical is that every time Justin says, "Eat your dinner, how are you going to be able to play football if you don't eat?" I respond with, "He's not playing football its too dangerous." (Okay, Idaho football is not dangerous, anyway not where I grew up. Texas football is highly dangerous. Since we have been here there have been at least three high school students paralyzed. Dangerous stuff.)
I just love how serous Coda was about the whole thing. You would have thought he was part of the NFL!

Super cute! Dallin too has been on a few "recess teams!" In my opinion....they are the best teams to be on! :)
Love it!
