Because of all the crazy weather, we didn't see much of Justin last week. In fact I don't think the kids saw him for about four days straight. He was working 14-16 hours days and threw in a 24 hour day in between! Valentine's Day (12:something A.M.) Justin came home with some roses, Lady Antebellum, and two giant dogs (one pink, one red). He is so sweet! He got the kids Sponge Bob Valentine's to place on the table next to the dogs. They were so excited, and have yet to put the dogs down (they use them as pillows).
After his 24 hour day he slept most the day, but took us out for a great surprise later. McDonald's! We had just ordered our food and was dishing it out at the table when Gracie says, "Potty!" This being the first time we ventured out in unders and not a pull-up, I grabbed her but he legs were curled up to her chest dripping. Yep, right in the play area dining room. I can't say it was the first or the last of play area disasters, but still none the less, embarrassing. Justin and I just looked and shook our heads. I wrapped my sweatshirt around her and the two of us made a quick trip home to get changed. (We didn't want to make everyone come home because this was suppose to be a good day.)
We hurried back to McD's. Justin had already cleaned up the "mess" and when he saw me with my hand sanitizer he asked to use it. He then squirted a good amount (quarter of the bottle) on the seat where Gracie was sitting. "There, I feel better about someone sitting there!" he said.
After enjoying our cold fries I watched as my six foot husband crawled into the little tube. He was in and out of the tubes for about forty minutes. There were even a few mothers that turned and said, "He is such a great dad!" Yep, tell me about it, because sometimes I need to be reminded how very blessed I am to have him. After they pointed that out, I couldn't help but gawk at him. Not only is he handsome and loving, he does the dishes, cooks dinner, does laundry (well at least he puts it in the washer), he fills my car up with gas, he does grocery shopping, vacuuming, fulfills is church calling, works long hours, and on top of that he is a great father! I am so blessed.
