Seriously, in Texas?
Yesterday I was laying in bed and I heard the blinds move in the kids' room. "Gracie, its snowing. Christmas." The whole day was about snow, Christmas, and hot chocolate! Coda loved having a snowball fight. He didn't even cry when my bad aim hit him in the back of the head, TWICE!

I think this is Gracie's first "real" experience with snow. She loved it!

This is Cooper, respectfully named by Coda.

It was so fun to get out and play in the snow. We wanted to go sledding, but they don't sell snow sled here. I thought long and hard about what other things we could use to slide down the hill, pool toys (the kids have this awesome fish boat) or maybe that pizza pan (oh that's right I chucked it when it failed to cook my pizza, don't ask) But in the end we pushed all crazy ideas aside and decided I would just drag them down the hill.

It was all a big mistake that the kids' snow clothes ended up here in Texas, but we are so glad they did! And since I didn't have any boots myself, I stuck my feet inside zip lock bags before putting them in my tennis shoes. Surprisingly, I stayed really warm despite the fact my shoes were dripping wet when we were finished.

Even as wet as she was I still had to fight her to come in. Hot chocolate bribe did the trick!

4 to 6 inches of snow! Average weather this time of year is in the 50's!
The next two I took this morning.

And looks like there is more snow in the forecast!
